Sabbath and Festival Times
The Sabbath (or Shabbat), begins on Friday night as it starts to get dark, and ends when it is dark on Saturday night. The London Jewish Community uses pre-published times for the London area that are available in local Jewish papers, or from a variety of internet sites.

Please note that some communities may “bring Shabbat in” (begin observing the Sabbath) at 20:00 during the summer months, though this does not affect the time it ends.
