The Jewish Police Association supported Mitzvah Day on November 20th by asking shoppers in Golders Green to buy an extra item and donate it for local homeless people. The team (left to right) OHN Anna Levi, MO Sara Levene and TPCSO Alan Vimmer collected nearly 100 items.
Mitzvah Day is a Jewish community initiative which encourages everyone – Jewish and non Jewish – to carry out a Mitzvah, an act of kindness to others.
Mat Shaer, Chair of the Jewish Police Association, said:” I am delighted that our members were able to participate in Mitzvah Day, as part of our belief in and commitment to community engagement and support”.
Other members, including the Chair, participated in the Association of Jewish Ex Servicemen and Women’s Remembrance Parade at the Cenotaph.
